Maurice Jamal: Celebrating A Decade of Film, Art & Activism • Past, Present & Future
Join us as we look at the past and future of activism, with celebrated filmmaker Maurice Jamal. This year marks a decade of amazing achievements by the Bay Area native. Filmmaker, Writer, Actor, Comic and Activist....Maurice Jamal has broken barriers and opened doors as a proudly out, African-American artist working in urban comedy, TV and film. Maurice Jamal will be on hand to discuss the impact of those ground-breaking moments, his iconic films and a sneak peek of his new project SEX, DRUGS & DISEASES. As we look to the future, Jamal will host the festival's closing night program featuring short films from the next wave of LGBTI Artivists.
